Karen Delaney
Karen Delaney was raised in Albany, New York and graduated from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. After living in New York City and then New Jersey for many years, she moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 2002. She was immediately struck by the beautiful, wide open skies and spectacular sunsets in Oklahoma, and thus her passion for photography was ignited. She was further inspired by the beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife in Park City, Utah, where she lives part-time. Karen is focused on capturing beauty in the natural world, but is also enjoys capturing light and energy in the people and places she encounters in her travels.
Karen is largely self taught. Most recently, she studied with Eddie Soloway and Michael Clark at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops.
She had her first show at the In Your Eye Gallery in Oklahoma City in August of 2019. Her second show was at Carpe Artem Gallery in Oklahoma City in December of 2020. Karen currently has a photograph in the Park City Professional Artists Association show at the Park City Library in Park City, Utah.
Her photographs have been published in First American Art Magazine and 405 Magazine. Karen is working on a photography book about Oklahoma with her mentor and friend, photographer Ann Sherman.
Karen is based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Park City, Utah.
